OK this may not be the most exciting picture that you will ever see but I forgot to enclose it the other day when I was talking about oil changers. This is probably about the cheapest and simplest that it is possible to get, it's a spare epoxy dispensing pump connected to a length of plastic tube.
To use you stick the free end of the plastic pipe down the dip stick hole and holding the body of the pump in one hand pump the plunger up and down to suck out all the oil squirting it into a handy bucket or other container for later disposal. You would not want to use this method on a large engine as it would take too long and be very tedious but it works a treat on smaller engines that contain less oil in the sump, say like a small sailboat engine or generator.
Make sure that the plastic pip[e is a snug fit on the end of the pump tube however as any air leaks will seriously affect the ability of the pump t suck up the oil.
