Tyvek is wonderful stuff. Normally used for house wrap I can beleive just how strong it is. When I was perfecting the design of my boom tent I used it as a templating material and even though I kept it up in very strong winds it stayed intact. On the downside it is very noisy and produces a sort of metalic cracking sound as it moves in the wind. I recently made a sail out of it too and as wind does not travel through the material it actually works surprizingly well and for the money it unbeatable, I just wish you could get it without the writing on it !

I purchased some to make a sun fly. Not hard to work with, but not as easy as Sunbrella. The sun fly came out great, but it does make noise in a breeze. I reinforced the edges and across its length and width with nylon webbing to take some of the load of stretching the guy, and that helps.

Thanks for this, I've been looking for some time for non printed Tyvek.
